The Night of the Hunter - 7.5/10

Very, very well done movie. Mitchum dominates this movie with his superb acting. It is of course dated but still fun to watch. It is about a con-man disguised as a preacher who is put in prison with a man who hid his loot and spills the beans whilst he is sleeping. The 'preacher' ends up with the marrying the mans wife as a means to getting his no good hands on the loot. However the wife does not know where the money is hidden, but her children do. The 'preacher' stops at nothing in order to get the money.

If you like the classics, see it (though I'm sure you already have if you enjoy classics [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] ).

This may be a stretch, but I now consider Alex de Large one of my favorite villains in film.

George Lucas is losing/has lost his touch I'm afraid, even though he didn't direct that one.
